T-Systems hosted two summer events on digitalization on July 19th and August 9th in Vienna, Austria. The diversified program included presentations, networking opportunities and an exhibition area that provided a peek into the latest developments of the digital world.

“We present and showcase themes that companies can already implement today,” stated Peter Lenz, the event’s host and executive board member at T-Systems, in the invitation to take part in the IT partner’s experience. avedos was also there, along with T-Systems Multimedia Solutions, Detecon, Cisco, Huawei, T-Mobile and other partners, to help participants submerge themselves in the digital world at T-Center.

We presented our GRC software risk2value, which helps companies prepare themselves for the new data protection regulations that will come into effect in Austria on 25 May 2018. The software, which as a cloud service is immediately ready for use, can be flexibly customized to all business processes.

Our clients, such as Volkswagen or Hirschmann Automotive, use the solution for enterprise risk management as well as the management of internal control systems, various compliance topics or audits. With our cloud partner T-Systems, we addressed both topics: information security and data protection. When integrating GRC solutions into business systems, T-Systems utilizes its vast experience for the technical implementation. Clients profit from software that adapts to their needs along with complementary training.

In preparation for the upcoming EU data protection regulations, a large insurance company implemented the complete functionality of risk2value. A midsize company uses the same software in a simplified version. “The need to register processing tasks for the new data protection regulations ties in closely to the fields of GRC and information security,” explains Reinhard Schüller, Sales Director at avedos. “These regulations will extend data protection beyond the company’s own systems and data to include customer and personal data as well. Companies can utilize many aspects of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) management to fulfill these requirements.”
