From project risks to added value
On May 11, 2017 our first edition of “From project risks to added value” took place at the unique venue "SS. Rotterdam" in the Netherlands.
The main topics of the event were
- different risks that could come into play within project driven organizations being forced to claim less to insurers,
- margins on project getting smaller and smaller,
- increasing risks and
- new Governance and Compliance leading to increased complexity.
Luckily May 11 was a beautiful sunny day, so after registration, all participants were able to meet for networking & discussions while enjoying the sun on the Bridge Deck right outside the meeting room.
Richard Schoumacher welcomed all participants with an interesting story about the history of the SS. Rotterdam and several risks that a cruise ship contains. This introduction was followed by a presentation of Dick Slot & Daan van Elsdingen on the topic of the day - “From project risks to added value”
Afterwards, Marco Mannes gave us a great insight on how Integrated Risk Management is handled within EnBW with a new focus on Project Risk Management and great details about how they manage offshore wind park projects using risk2value.
A live demo of the risk2value platform by Lacko Darazsdi concluded the session.
Great discussions where held and experiences exchanged on the Lido deck while, again, enjoying the sun.
