On Saturday, 1 June 2019, our GRC Competence Lead Claudia Howe had the pleasure of hosting a three-hour seminar on the topic as part of the part-time Master’s Program for Integrated Risk Management at the University of Applied Sciences, FH Campus Vienna.

The class, with its colorful mix of personalities and backgrounds, actively engaged in the discussion despite the summer-like outdoor temperatures.

Aside from the integration of various GRC processes and disciplines, the seminar covered the fundamental principles of risk management, internal control systems, information security, compliance management and internal audits as well as relevant interfaces and networking potential. True to a university of applied sciences which emphasizes learning through real-world business examples, Howe interwove experiences from customer projects and insights from conversations with clients and partners between theory and current trends.

We were delighted to contribute our expertise and vast know-how in this seminar as well as broaden the students’ perspectives through hands-on experience.
